The science behind it just made sense to me and I knew I had to give it a shot!
I am so happy that I jumped right into this newly discovered strategy. After switching to eating low-carb foods during my eating window, I began doubling my average weekly weight loss. This translated to consistently losing close to four pounds almost every single week. And before I knew it, I had lost 46 pounds in just 4 months!
Now, will this work wonderfully for everybody? Probably not! Every BODY is different and we all know that weight loss and intermittent fasting is truly an experiment of one! What Exactly Did I Eat When I Was Losing The Weight?
It is important to mention that during my 4 month weight loss journey, I indeed ate very low carb (between 20-25 net carbs per day) but I was not strictly Keto. I did, however, enjoy many low carb foods that were “Keto-Friendly.” I absolutely hate math, so I do not count calories and I have never attempted to figure out or count macros (percentage of carbs, fats, and protein). It is also important to note that I knew that maintaining a movie theater popcorn and Mexican-Food Free lifestyle would not be sustainable forever, therefore after hitting my weight loss goals, I slowly added yummy carbs back into my diet.
Here are a list of SOME of the many low carb foods that I enjoyed during my 4 month weight loss journey: EGGS, CHICKEN, SALMON, STEAK, SCALLOPS, PORK TENDERLOIN, GROUND BEEF, CHEESE, SALADS, PICKLES, MACADAMIA NUTS, ALMONDS, NUT MILKS, MUSHROOMS (my favorite), AVOCADOS, GREEN BEANS, BROCCOLI, CAULIFLOWER, BRUSSEL SPROUTS, COCONUT OIL, REAL BUTTER, RANCH DRESSING, RANCH DRESSING and more RANCH DRESSING!
On the flip side, here is a list of foods that I absolutely avoided during my 4 month weight loss journey: BREAD, POTATOES, FRUIT, CHIPS, ALCOHOL, RICE, PASTA and SUGAR!!!
I absolutely love the way that I feel when I eat low-carb. It’s awesome because I don’t feel deprived in any way whatsoever.
