In January of 2021 my life completely changed. At 45 years old, I discovered the incredible power of intermittent fasting. After jumping into the intermittent fasting lifestyle with both feet, I successfully lost 46 pounds in 4 months.
In this post I’m going to share with you the exact intermittent fasting schedule that I followed each day to lose the weight and keep it off for over three years now.

MORNING
When I was losing the weight in January of 2021, I was working as an elementary physical education teacher. I rolled out of bed at 6:15 am, brushed my teeth, grabbed my black coffee, and headed out the door.
Once I was at work I DID NOT EAT any food and continued to drink black coffee until about noon.
As an elementary P.E. teacher I wasn’t getting an official exercise workout in but was keeping quite busy and active as I interacted with my students during each class. Actually, I kept myself so busy that I didn’t have time to think about eating lunch.
AFTERNOON
Around noon, I began drinking 1-2 (12 oz.) cans or bottles of Plain Sparkling Mineral Water until about 2pm. Can you say GAME CHANGER? Once I began drinking plain sparkling mineral water, intermittent fasting became an absolute breeze! I don’t exactly know what it is but the bubbles and the carbonated water does something truly magical inside your tummy.
Next, I switched to drinking a nice big mug of green tea between 2:00-4:00 pm. Green tea is an awesome intermittent fasting drink because there are so many massive benefits. It not only improves your health, but simultaneously aids in shrinking your waistline and lowering your body weight.
My absolute favorite green tea brands are: BIGELOW and 365 by WHOLE FOODS MARKET (Organic). They are both very high quality green teas and are cost effective, as well. Remember to keep your fast “Clean” and avoid adding any lemon or other flavorings that could potentially break your fast.
Finally, as I walked out of school for the day, I would grab one more bottle of plain sparkling water to drink on my drive between 4:00-4:30pm.
EVENING
Once I returned home from work, I would quickly change my clothes. Then I headed to the basement for a FASTED WORKOUT – another game-changing tip for you!
Next, I began cooking a delicious GREEN CHEF meal for myself and my family around 5:00 pm. As I prepared dinner, I listened to and very poorly sang along to my favorite country music tunes, while sipping on my game-changing Apple Cider Vinegar Weight Loss Drink.
As I finished my ACV drink, I would enjoy a delicious, healthy snack like mixed nuts from ALDI as I prepared to serve dinner to my family.
And then, around 6:00 pm… I would FEAST! I never counted a single calorie or macro and ate until I was completely satisfied. This was FREEDOM to me. I savored every bite and immediately fell in love with the OMAD intermittent fasting schedule.
Additionally, after breaking my fast for the day with my ACV drink, I usually enjoyed regular or flavored mineral water throughout my 3-4 hour actual eating window.
LATE EVENING
Finally, after relaxing on the couch with my husband and watching an episode of Married at First Sight, I would enjoy a satisfying healthy dessert. Between 7:00-7:30 pm, I closed my eating window for the day with a dessert packed with plenty of healthy fats. Sometimes it was a protein-packed weight loss smoothie. Other times, I ended my day with a delicious greek yogurt dessert or a coconut fat bomb.

After closing my eating window and beginning my next fasting period between 7:30-8:00 pm, I stuck to drinking plain water for the remainder of the night. Additionally, I did not drink any water after 9:00 pm, one hour before heading to bed.
I consistently snuggled into bed around 10:00 pm each night, especially after I discovered that getting enough sleep is directly related to weight loss.
